Last updated: July 9, 2026
If you received an unwanted or harmful call or message that you believe came through the Assistable platform, we want to know about it. Assistable Machine Learning, Inc. provides AI agents that businesses use to communicate with people over voice calls, SMS, WhatsApp, and web chat, and we hold those businesses to strict rules about how they contact recipients. This page explains what to report, how to reach us, and what we do when a report comes in.
01If you are in immediate danger
If a call or message involves a threat to your safety or anyone else's, contact your local emergency services first. In the United States, dial 911. We review reports promptly, but we are not an emergency service and cannot dispatch help.
02What you can report
We accept reports from anyone, including recipients of unwanted communications, businesses, and security researchers. If you are not sure whether the communication involved our platform, report it anyway and we will check. Reports we want to hear about include:
- Unwanted or unlawful calls or texts, including contact that continues after you opted out or asked not to be called.
- Spam or bulk unsolicited messages.
- Fraud or scam attempts.
- Phishing or smishing, meaning calls or messages that try to trick you into revealing passwords, financial details, or other personal information.
- Impersonation of a person, business, or government agency.
- Harassment, threats, or other abusive behavior.
- Malicious or illegal content produced by an AI agent.
- A suspected compromised Assistable account.
03How to report abuse
Email support@assistable.ai with the subject line "Report abuse", or send the same details through our contact form at /contact. Partial reports are still useful, so send whatever you have. We use the contact information you provide only to handle your report, as described in our Privacy Policy at /privacy. Where possible, include:
- The phone number or other identifier involved, such as the number that called or texted you, or the website where a chat took place.
- The date and time of the contact, including your time zone.
- What happened, in your own words.
- Screenshots, copies of the messages, or call details if you have them.
- How we can reach you if we need more information.
04Stopping unwanted calls and texts yourself
You can often stop unwanted contact directly, and businesses using Assistable are required to honor these requests. If the contact continues after you opt out, report it to us, because continued contact after an opt-out violates our Terms of Service at /terms and may violate laws such as the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). To opt out:
- Reply STOP to any SMS to opt out of future texts from that sender.
- On a call, ask to be placed on the caller's do-not-call list.
05What happens after you report
We review every report promptly and investigate the traffic against our Acceptable Use Guidelines at /acceptable-use and our Fair Use Policy at /fair-use. Privacy and legal constraints mean we cannot always share the outcome of an investigation. Depending on what we find, we may take one or more of the following actions:
- Warn the customer or require changes to their agent, campaign, or practices.
- Rate-limit the customer's traffic.
- Suspend or terminate the customer's account.
- Remove phone numbers or messaging campaigns from the platform.
- Cooperate with carriers, messaging providers, and authorities where appropriate.
06Who is responsible for the traffic
Assistable provides the platform, and the businesses that use it are the caller and sender of record for the communications they initiate. Under our Terms of Service at /terms, they are responsible for obtaining any required consent, honoring opt-outs, and complying with the laws that apply to their calls and messages. When a business falls short of those obligations, your report helps us hold them to account.
07How we work to prevent abuse
Reports are one part of a broader effort. We apply KYC review to customer accounts, require A2P 10DLC campaign registration for applicable SMS traffic, provide do-not-call (DNC) scrubbing for outbound campaigns, and operate honeypot detection to identify abusive traffic patterns early. No prevention system catches everything, which is why reports from recipients matter.
08Reporting security vulnerabilities
If you have found a security vulnerability in the Assistable platform, please practice responsible disclosure. Email the details to support@assistable.ai, give us a reasonable opportunity to address the issue before any public disclosure, and do not access, modify, or retain data that is not yours. You can read more about our security practices at /trust.
09Law enforcement requests
If you are a law enforcement officer or government official seeking customer records, data preservation, or emergency disclosure, please follow the process described at /law-enforcement-request. That page covers how to submit legal process and how we handle emergency disclosure requests under 18 U.S.C. 2702.
10No legal advice
This page is provided for information only and is not legal advice. It does not create rights or obligations beyond those in our Terms of Service at /terms and related policies, and it does not limit any rights you have under applicable law. If you need advice about your specific situation, consult a lawyer.
